CATEK turned to Metalix to program and nest 2

CATEK started out as a one-man business, but it didn’t take long before Carsten had accumulated a number of satisfied customers, and more manpower was needed to solve the tasks. Today, CATEK consists of experts in various areas, each of whom has expertise in certain areas – and they are also not afraid to help where the pressure is greatest.

 
CATEK have a Yawei 6 kw Plate Laser and FinnPower punch, all programmed with Metalix.
After purchasing a HSG Tube Bevel machine, Jacob Laursen –  technical manager of  CATEK (Denmark) turned to Metalix to program and nest his tube parts.

Says Jacob, technical manager of CATEK:

“For our new HSG tube laser, we have purchased Metalix software.
Through our good collaboration with Metalix, we have adapted the system so that we can design and meet our customers’ needs.
We save a lot of time by using Metalix and there is always help available.”

We design the tubes in SolidWorks using CAD Tube commands to design a Bend Cut.

Then we process the tube on the machine with bevel, and then bend the tube by hand and get the final part.
